His love for Vinyl and DJing began in the early 90s, at the time Roy was an active dancer, and he bought the newest records he could get his hands on. A 1210 and a mixer made it possible for him to make his own dance mixes. As an avid dancer, he travelled all over Germany under the artist name of Nitro and recieved many awards and accolades. In 1995 he formed with 2 other musicians the group 2 Damn Hype, and found producing while being DJ for the group. The self produced songs were well recieved in the at the time in a very small Black Music scene, which helped him share the stage with such artists as: Coolio, Kurtis Blow, Backstreet Boys, Nana and Awesome, throughout Germany. That was not enough for him though so he broke with 2 Damn Hype in 1999 to work more in the club sc.
